Meet Tatianna

Tatianna Salisbury is a writer and self-proclaimed force of nature based in Denver, Colorado.

Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Tatianna studied Communications and Journalism at Northern Illinois University. She graduated in 2018 with a bachelor of arts degree in communication. Throughout her years at NIU, Tatianna unearthed a passion for creative and unapologetic storytelling. Writing as prolifically as she could, Tatianna held many positions at the university newspaper, including Editor-In-Chief, and wrote perspective pieces for various online publications and magazines across the US.

Her Story Continues

In the fall of 2021, Tatianna moved to Denver, CO to pursue her career in internal communications. While in Colorado, Tatianna rekindled her passion for creative writing and poetry. From 2022 to 2023, she worked on writing and publishing her first book, "words my heart needed to hear."

In June of 2023, Tatianna published “words my heart needed to hear,” a collection of poetry and short stories about her experiences of betrayal, longing, loss, and love. Through her reflection on the relationships that define her existence, Tatianna’s debut book focuses on prominent forms of love; how we enjoy its light and survive its darkest moments.

When she’s not writing, which is rare, Tatianna can be found hiking the mountains of Colorado with her Blue Heeler, Balto, attempting new dessert recipes with the disadvantage of altitude against her, and enjoying relaxing indie movie night with her partner, Scott.
